3.) Describe the steps that are taken (in brief) to replace all knee parts.

1. 35K or more
2. john hopkins
3. you cut off edges of the bone to remove all of the knee then you place the replacement parts and close um back up

1.) How much does a total knee replacement cost?
In excess of $38,000.
2.) What hospitals/medical centers are re-known for their innovative techniques in knee repair?
John Hopkins
3.) Describe the steps that are taken (in brief) to replace all knee parts.
The patella is removed and replaced with mechanical parts that connect the tibia, fibula, and femur via a hinge joint.
4.) Why wouldn’t a knee replacement be done on a 25 year old?
Knee replacements only have an approximate 15 year life span and surgeons only like to put in one prosthetic knee in one’s lifetime.
1. $35,000 +
2. John Hopkins Hospital
3. a) incision
b) Bone cutting (patella, fibula, tibia)
c) Part testing
d) new parts put in
e) close em up
4. cuz a 25 year old is less likely to break one in good health so they arent a worthy applicant for a knee replacement if they are unhealthy
